Legitimate Reason for Being a Deaf Peddler?
Ridor writes about his latest encounter with a deaf peddler. What makes this peddler more sympathetic though, is the fact he is a former convict. Deafness has nothing to do with the fact this former convict can not get a job; our society does not want to give former convicts a second chance. I have read articles before about how difficult it is for former convicts to re-enter society.
Last month when I was in Texas, someone told me that many of the deaf Mexican immigrants are peddlers in Dallas.
