Who We Serve

Northern Virginia Resource Center for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Persons (NVRC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving the counties of Fairfax, Arlington, and Loudoun, as well as the cities of Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church, Manassas, and Manassas Park. Limited services are provided to Prince William County.

The Center serves deaf and hard of hearing people and their families, friends, co-workers, employers, and business and government agencies that serve deaf and hard of hearing people. This list is more widespread than you might first think as it includes: deaf, deaf-blind, hard of hearing, hearing, parents with deaf children, children of deaf parents, parents with hard of hearing children, children with hard of hearing parents, educators, sign language teachers, sign language instructors, hearing aid users, people with cochlear implants, people with tinnitus

Membership

NVRC members come from various counties in the Northern Virginia Metropolitan Area and beyond. They represent a broad cross section of people with hearing loss, people who are related to someone with a hearing loss or people who work in the field. NVRC values each and every member and works hard to serve the community. Your membership dollars help sustain the organization and by becoming a member of NVRC you will receive 10 issues of our newsletter, our daily e-mail news service, or both. You will also receive discounts for some NVRC events.
