About Global Mapping Systems

Global Mapping Systems was founded in early 1997 to provide high-quality GPS and GIS software and consulting services for the Apple Macintosh platform. We incorporated as a Limited Liability Corporation (LLC) in New York State in 2000. Although our primary business registration is in New York City; our business location and presence is more properly the Internet as most of our business is conducted through our online web site (http://www.gpsy.com) and extensive online user-support system.

Our primary products are GPSy® X and GPSy Pro™ X , which are GPS communications and mapping software packages for the Macintosh. In addition, we provide GPS/GIS consulting services and license the GPSy "GPS Engine" to interested third-parties. We have also published a SDK to GPSy (Pro) which allows third party vendors to easily poll GPSy for data.

We are registered Apple "Select" Developers which gives us access to all of the latest system software releases and beta prereleases in order to ensure full compatibility with Apple's system and hardware product lines. We work closely with Apple engineers in developing GPS/GIS solutions for the Mac OS. GPSy is highly optimized under QuickTime and provides the fastest platforms for GPS and GIS map viewing. We are committed to working with all current and future Macintosh hardware and OS product lines.
