SPCA.COM

The spca.com site now refers to a new organization called: SPCA International based out of the United States.

Re that: I suppose when I read "Languages:" in the case of AboutUs, I thought of "Is the entire MediaWiki interface in any other languages? No." instead of "Are individual pages in other languages? Link from my website to my About Us page

It might sound as an unsual question but.. I designed both ELECTROCLASS' website in Turkey and the Turkish pages about ELECTROCLASS on About Us.

The question is : is it possible to put an "About Us" logo on our website (http://www.electroclass.com.tr), so that when people click on it, they are redirected to our page on About Us (in a new window of course).

I have no idea if you guys would allow something like that. It might not be in the spirit of About Us.

All you're doing in reality is linking an image to your AboutUs page, so I don't see any logical reason against this. We're here also to build a community after all.

So you want something like:

Featured Pages

Hi Tak! It's a pleasure being on the community team with you. Now, I had a few things on my mind regarding the Featured Pages and since you're taking care of them, I thought I might discuss them with you first. I'd be happy to help you out on the tasks GrowFeaturedPotentials and ProcessFeaturedNominations but don't quite get the difference between the two. The way I see it, the steps towards nominating the Featured Pages should be as follows:

1. Either randomly or systematically look at pages that registered users have worked on
2. Place these in the FeatureMePotentials page
3. Get in touch with the users building these pages and encourage/assist them in making them better (this is already being done, that I see)
4. Get the community to discuss and nominate the best pages (this is also being done)

From what I get, step 2 is FeatureMeNominated, step 3 is GrowFeaturedPotentials and step 4 is ProcessFeaturedNominations (please do correct me in your reply if I'm wrong or have misunderstood something). So here are my questions:

• How do we get users to nominate pages in the first place (i.e. do more of step 1)?
• How can step 4 (ProcessFeaturedNominations) be facilitated? Rather, wouldn't you agree that perhaps a standard procedure/task should be in place to ensure step 4's facilitation?
• We need to encourage the community to contribute constructive and "pleasant" ways that FeatureMeNominated pages can be made even better

Tak, I am having some problems trying to fix the domain page with all of the templates I used before the new skin was available.. any suggestions? I understand I could revert the edits however I will lose the information I have uploaded since then... I dont believ that it can be a promising featured page as it stands although it has the potential. My main focus has been making E.T.I. more accessible to gainnew users for debate. (something I havent been successful in doing yet.. I am anticipating the future possibilities of Topsoil... I appreciate any of your thoughts.. thanks bryan

AboutUs being refreshed.. my page as consequently changed..

I have no idea who to ask this to, so as you helped me last time, I'm asking you again.

Obviously AboutUs has had a surgery operation :o) It's nice, but my page looks funny now. The adresses is : http://www.aboutus.org/ElectroClass.com.tr

Can you tell me what's going on ? It seems all pictures are displayed vertically, instead of adding next to each other from left to right (like it used to be).

Olivier, sorry this happened. Somehow the NewSkin (new layout) for AboutUs isn't liking the "frames" you put the images in (this appears to be a system-wide problem and not isolated to your page -- sorry it happened to you though). I've made one quick fix that helps a little bit to the page ElectroClass.com.tr. As you can see, it's better, but the frames issue is still messing it up a bit. I've left our development team a note on the NewSkin page with the hopes the will resolve it soon. If you'd like, we can take the frames off the images, but that only covers the problem, which I hope can be fixed this week.
