NurtureNominees is about growing, weeding, watering and nurturing WikiPages on the FeatureMePotentials page. This involves using the FeatureMePotentials page to nurture and encourage those page's authors and other community members to build great content.

Why
Featured WikiPages serves a number of community functions:
- It provides a way of celebrating cool things and contributions to the wiki
- It is a way of encouraging and promoting the creation of high quality WikiPages.
- The featured blurbs themselves often are used as a messaging tool to show and teach users on tricks and techniques that might improve their WikiPages, these can include notes on using photos, adding community reviews and the like.
- To encourage and teach TheWikiWay by engaging active members in conversations.
- It provides a dynamic element to the front page, which not only helps inform visitors and get them to return regularly to see what's been featured, it also affects Google rankings by providing regular content and links to pages for Google's spiders to scrape.
DoneDone
On Nov. 15:
- All New Candidates that have been up for longer than a couple of days will have at least one comment. We estimate that this will be about 10 pages.
- We'll know that the other tasks are being accomplished by looking at individual pages' histories and seeing the work that's been done on the page.
Steps to get to DoneDone
The FeatureMePotentials page is divided into four sections, actions need to be cultivated for each a couple times a week:
- New Candidates -- Generally, these are added during the task ProcessFeaturedNominations. Anyone who is part of this task should a couple times a week be monitoring this list and make sure to add thoughts and comments to the new nominations, especially ones that haven't had comments created yet.
- Still Under Discussion -- In addition to cultivating the new candidates, time should be spent helping ones that "aren't quite ready" over the fence. Posting notes with thoughts for improvement on all candidates is a decent first step, but really identifying people who are interested in doing the work and working directly with them over talk pages, IRC, email or Skype is key here. This is probably the biggest expenditure of time on this task
- Last Chance -- Pages that have been sitting on the potentials list for a couple of months and haven't had any work done on them. Ideally, pages on this list have had their author(s) contacted (if contact info is available). We'll cull this list down every couple of weeks.
