Welcome

Hello... Welcome to AboutUs!

Nice work on wikiHow.com - thanks for catching the capitalization boo-boos there and sorry about that. Are you a regular on wikiHow? I was there a while back and found a page that had been deleted for being inappropriate, etc. and was amazed to see that the same warning template came up no matter what version of the page you looked at in the history - that's neat and beyond me.

I'm excited that you've chosen to explore the wonderful world of wiki here at AboutUs.org. Let me know if you have any questions along the way - you may also join the AboutUs WebIRC to chat or ask a question, and below are some links that I have found useful...

Welcome to the AboutUs community - it's great to have you!

Hello! People definitely respond in both ways, but only if a message is left on the intended recipient's talk page will they be notified, unless they happen to have your talk page on their watchlist. KristinaWeis 11:59, 28 August 2007 (PDT)
Oh yes, to make sure they actually get the message. KristinaWeis 12:10, 28 August 2007 (PDT)
Yes, there are admins (aka sysops) here at AboutUs. Check out Category:AboutUsPortland for our staff in Portland. There are a few sysops (I believe) that aren't staff here as well, and several Category:ActiveMembers that watch Special:RecentChanges and are very active in doing all sorts of things to help out. Deleting is something that only a sysop can do, but it's something we can do upon request and there's even Template:Delete. KristinaWeis 12:28, 28 August 2007 (PDT)
Yes, in most cases external links are seen as ExcessiveLinking and Spam, particularly when they do not constructively contribute to the WikiPage or are not even related. So certainly, thanks for reverting that and feel free to do the same in the future maybe with a "revert spam" EditSummary or the like. KristinaWeis 21:33, 29 August 2007 (PDT)
Oh, I just noticed your edit to User:Rdixon0625 and you can actually wipe out the spam manually, and if you want you can leave Category:AboutUsHoneypot in its place (this way many active members will add the page to their watchlist). See User:Kelete as an example. Thanks for helping out! KristinaWeis 13:43, 30 August 2007 (PDT)

WelcomingPeople has a bit to say about it, but essentially I go through Special:RecentChanges and look for red talk links and go from there. It's one of my favorite things to do, so let me know if you have any questions and if you would like to jump in on it that would be wonderful. KristinaWeis 17:37, 30 August 2007 (PDT)

Great! There are some pointers on the WelcomingPeople page, but I'm sure you know the drill. Can I suggest that you point new people towards the WikiAnatomy tours? KristinaWeis 18:02, 30 August 2007 (PDT)

220.233.231.41 is actually ART's IP if you want to check that out. Can I ask when you are unblocking the site since i was adding to it? --Master Baitor 20:24, 31 August 2007 (PDT)
