About Me

Hi, I'm Steven Walling! Here at AboutUs (in Portland, Oregon) I work as a WikiEditor, largely for those interested in having AboutUs develop a great wiki page for them. From top to bottom at AboutUs, I find it to be a unique and fascinating endeavor, and I'm elated to be here. Our goal of "a guide to all websites" is both ambitious and necessary. In working with those interested in AboutUs write their DomainPage, I'm living my dream: helping others discover the positive impact of wiki.

Elsewhere on the web, I'm an editor and administrator on the English Wikipedia and other Wikimedia Foundation projects. On Wikipedia, I'm a member of WikiProject Oregon, a group of Wikipedians dedicated to improving content about my state. I also write for the project's blog. I've been involved with Portland's WikiWednesday, RecentChangesCamp, and the Universal Edit Button.

Working in more traditional print media, I've written film, literary and performing arts criticism for Willamette Week and The Vancouver Voice. My off-wiki hobbies include Go, Tai Chi, Yoga and backyard chicken keeping (I keep a record of my hen's egg production on the wiki).
