Wiki evangelists will tell you that wikis are great because they're the simplest thing that works. If this is your first time using a wiki, that may sound crazy to you. However easy wikis may be, they aren't very polished and that makes them seem unwelcoming. The most important thing to remember about using a wiki is that a wiki is a community. This means that no single person needs to know how to do everything, or even most things. In fact, chances are that if you can figure out how to throw text up, somebody else can figure out how to make it look right. So jump right in! |

- Introduction of the idea of this UnionWiki as a place to begin to have a conversation of what a UnionWiki is or can be. He is a strong advocate of OpenEdit wiki technology, because it is a community solution, not a technological one. But there are technological parts to a wiki.
