Thanks for touching base. I actually do have a question for you. I have had an error show up when I try and do page alerts. Attached is a screenshot and the URL that shows up with this error is below too.

I think the problem is that I am not receiving those confirmation emails in my inbox. What do I need to do to get those confirmations resent or how do I reset these?

We urgently need interactive swf-files to upload to a trusted platform. In Aboutus.org we trust.

Hello Mark, just noticed, that you are online. We have wonderful free social tools that need a trusted platform:

• Wink (a true freeware screenrecorder with lots of editing features, including even voice overs) that produces interactive screen-casts.
• TrailFire (a true freeware Social Annotation system) which has a WikiMode, allowing to add TrailMarks and so producing Meatball:WikiTrail s . With this tool we can "weave the web" with utmost convenience.

Unfortunately this complex tool has no good documentation (as far as I can see). So a screen-recorder presentation comes in quite handy. Wink allows screen-recording for this type of sharing procedural knowledge.

Although I could FTP-upload swf-stuff on my private page or could distribute them via email as attachments, it's not about me, it's about us.

If you allow in addition to swf-files also *.wnk project files (slightly bigger). The production process can be shared.

I verified, that YouTube currently even doesn't recognize *.swf files (producing "invalid file format" after upload).

So please, help us to allow *.swf and *.wnk files, that can be viewed and shared in the commons.

I am still hoping to get a positive answer to my "prayer". So I tried to upload an swf-file, hoping for a SilentAgreement, but I only got:

By the way *.swf files are Flash-Files that can be used as interactive ScreenCasts, superior in resolution quality and minimal filesize. This format is universally available on nearly each PC.

• .wnk files are the project files, that could be used for derivative work on the above mentionned swfs. (supporting: BuildingTheCommons).

Besides "praying" I did a lot of search and posting in the Web (e.g. <->[in the forum of the creator of the freeware Wink Satish Kumar]), but I only found one free community host swfpages.com, who doesn't offer (yet) to host wnk project files.

We currently make our first steps at: <->Meatball:RecentChangesWikiTrail with the startup swfpages.com, who has not yet answered our OpenMail, so not having given evidence to be a reliable source for the future.

This file format would be a great addition to the allowed uploads at AboutusOrg, because it supports social collaboration in an outstanding way. fridemar 18:23, 17 June 2008 (PDT)

Maybe I'm doing something wrong. But when I create a new link, that link immediately takes me to the editor of that new page. There's a big problem with that if you want the page itself to introduce information and media first, invite folks to edit second. - edsport

Heya Ted! I have a question. Would it be a possibility to bring back `FeatureMe’? With this feature a bit out there on in knowledge of the visiting community (and in hopes to bring others) would help increase some usuage of the AboutUs wiki and have pages really shaped into quality pages? We get a good AboutUs page of quality we can be proud of, the website that done it has a chance to get more traffic.

I know it used to have it’s own section on the AboutUs homepage but this time around it doesn’t exactly have to `stand-out’, as the spotlight stands out (and it is for paid articles), just to a lesser extent. Probably like the two boxes we have at the bottom, a width of the two togethor under it or above it with just a byline, or something alike. It doesn’t interfere with the design, and it doesn’t go too far out, but it will bring in people to get a good AboutUs page done.

If the paid staff do not have time to do this, I can take it up myself. But, for the selection, I can host a poll software on my site to allow anonymous unique people to vote for a short period of time and the winner (if all votes are considered unique) win the byline until the next update which I feel should be an undisclosed period of time.

I am making a list of small nuances I want changed, but from what I see quickly, I would say that I would like to put less emphasis on the horse angle, and more on the art/poetry/creative angle... the horse angle is only important to know about why the perspective is what it is, but that is all. I will get back to you with a more detailed critique. Otherwise it looks like you are well on your way...
