The Business

1. How did your business get started? Is there any other type of history you would like to share?

We have been in business since 1998.

2. What is unusual or unique about your business? What do you do differently than the rest?

Our company specializes in making card blanks designed for use as wedding invitations. All of our card blanks are our own exclusive design, available only on our website or in our store in Basildon, Essex.

We use a Heidelberg Platen Die Cutting machine to make all of our card blanks. This ensures that each card is exactly the same in size and design as the others in an order. One important detail of our cards is the fact that we make sure all creasing and scoring is done parallel to the grain direction of the card. This ensures a crisp and smooth fold, decreased warping and curling, and an increase in upright rigidity of the cards.


3. What are some of the greatest challenges in your business and how do you meet them?

We have sold over 1 million card blanks to date. We always keep a good supply of cards in stock, currently at over 40,000 card blanks.

5. How would someone external describe your business?

Our customers describe us as a not only a place to buy unique wedding card blanks, but also a place where they can get creative ideas. We have many invitation designs and instructions free to view. Some people might even describe us as a “craft store” because we also sell many crafting tools, embellishments, and paper products.

Our main target customers would be creative people who are soon to be married and want to make their own wedding invitations. We also reach out to crafters who make their own greeting cards and other homemade crafts.
