In 1998, Jacque Barns started making her own handmade cards. She spent a lot of time shopping for unique embellishments to use for making cards, but found that there were very few options to choose from in crafting stores. Jacque decided to find her own crafting suppliers and produce her own, unique card blanks. She is now the proud and successful owner of KookyKards in Essex, UK. Due to the amount of card stock involved in making her blanks, Jacque decided to start the website KookyKards.com and sell the excess stock and other supplies via the internet.
