CST Technologies, Inc. was founded in 1990 by Dr. Anand Akerkar for the purpose of manufacturing, marketing, and selling a line of synthetic bases designed primarily to be a substitute for human or animal serum to make synthetic calibrators/controls. These products were designed to be neutral, extremely stable and to mimic certain aspects of serum. Dr. Akerkar had personally experienced the problems of working with serum for many years as a scientist in the immunodiagnostics industry while developing assays requiring serum based calibrators/controls. The first products developed were SeraSub (synthetic serum) and UriSub (synthetic urine) for use in making synthetic controls in serum and urine assays respectively. These products are being used by in-vitro diagnostic manufacturers worldwide to avoid the lot to lot, stability and potential health problems posed by human or animal serum based products.
CST's product line is manufactured using a GNP Certified process. The product you receive will provide lot to lot consistency that is virtually undetectable and stability at room temperature guaranteed for 2 years.
