Welcome to the home of the Sonoma County Genealogical Society, in the heart of California's wine country! The Sonoma County Genealogical Society was founded in 1967 at Santa Rosa, Sonoma County, California and is incorporated as a nonprofit organization in the State. The Society has a membership of over 365 persons that includes both Sonoma County residents and others who have roots in the county. The Society provides leadership and education through its various programs including general meetings, workshops, a newsletter, the Sonoma Searcher, a quarterly publication of the Society, special interest groups, library assistance, and research projects which document Sonoma County records and are published in book form and microfiche.
