There are days when the traditional mode of practicing law and representing clients simply does not work. There are days when there are not enough hours, not enough hands, not enough resources to do everything, let alone spend time with one’s family. There are cases when one’s experience simply is not enough. It is those days when National Legal Professional Associates becomes an important partner.
NLPA is a technical consulting firm, owned by attorneys, and dedicated to the professional mission of providing counsel research, and related work product to members of the Bar. Although our attorney research department provides some consulting assistance to attorneys in the area of civil practice, most of NLPA’s twenty two year history has been dedicated to working with the criminal defense bar. Our ownership structure includes attorneys licensed to practice before many local, state, and federal courts; however, NLPA is not a law firm and provides no “front line” legal services. Our sole purpose is to provide research and consulting assistance. With cutting-edge computer research capabilities, an experienced and top quality staff, and more than two decades experience, NLPA is well-positioned to provide the type of assistance members of the bar often times need.
In reviewing what NLPA can bring to a case, it is important to realize what NLPA is not. NLPA is not a law firm, and therefore does not charge comparable fees. NLPA is not counsel of record, and thus only one attorney, the attorney of record--- makes all determinative decisions on legal matters in a case. NLPA is not a research, paralegal service staffed by paralegals and quasi-attorneys seeking to profit off of defendants’ fear and concern with members of the bar. And, NLPA is not a fly-by-night business operation.
