Description
I was born in Bracebridge, Ontario, Canada in 1969. My parents were draft dodgers from Saint Louis, Missouri. I share their disdain for war and imperialistic foreign policies.
I was raised in Kitchener, and went to art school at the University of Waterloo during the days of burgeoning political correctness. I prefered iconoclastic postmodernism over fall-in-line Dworkinism, so my artwork was considered politically incorrect. My oversized drawings of pinup girls and I were ostracized by fembots and sensitive new age males alike (although my prof gave me an A+).
Shortly before moving to San Francisco, however, I had discovered zines via the issues of Maximum Rock n' Roll laying about the University of Waterloo's radio station, where I had a show alternately entitled Zelda Zonk and The Saucy Little Tart Show. (It really should have been called All Blondie and Lou Reed, All the Time.)
