FOSSFP - Free & Open Source Software Foundation of Pakistan
- The Free and Open Source Software Movement has gained considerable momentum in the region of Pakistan and its neighboring countries. The Government of Pakistan has established and Open Source Resource Centre under the umbrella of Pakistan Software Export Board, Ministry of Information Technology in order to seed and build an Open Source Software Ecosystem in parallel to the Proprietary Software Ecosystem. In light of this, a new concept has been evolving in the Information Technology Industry Sector termed as the "Co-existence Model" that formulates co-existence between the Proprietary Ecosystem and OSS Ecosystem.
