Pakistan Software Export Board
Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) is run by the government. Its main aim is to promote Pakistan’s Information Technology (IT) industry and targets prospective investors, member companies and outsourcing agents.
Programs
The Board has a policy for the provision of financial subsidies, technical support and partnerships, for the IT companies and for educational institutions.
PSEB offers software and IT services companies a wide range of services to help them achieve a competitive and strategic advantage.
The Board aids IT companies in their interaction with various Government agencies, and also launches programs in areas of strategic importance.
The Board carries out surveys and plans out strategies to fast-track the IT industry’s growth.
The Board works with its stakeholders including the State Bank, Ministry of Commerce and Planning Commission to create financing and funding for the IT industry.
The Board promotes the image of the Pakistan IT industry in international markets and enables trade interaction with international parties. It also helps the entry of multi-national development and support centers into Pakistan.
PSEB markets the IT industry achievements via various media channels.
In order to encourage investment and entrepreneurship in the ITeS industry, PSEB has established dedicated Software Technology Parks (STPs) at key locations in Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore.
The Board creates a public policy environment including taxes, tariffs, trade and intellectual property protection to enable the growth of the IT industry.
PSEB has an incentives program to assist IT companies in Pakistan interested in securing quality certifications.
