About ColdForged
ColdForged is an embedded software engineer at a 50-person “start-up” company — as an aside, just how long are companies allowed to consider themselves a “startup?” — in RTP, NC. He’s married to the delightful Cat and they have one daughter, Julia. He teaches kung fu and grappling at a local studio, enjoys Xbox and PC video games, and reads incessantly.
coldforged.org is a personal weblog. It was started on August 23rd, 2002 and had an immediate readership of right around one — less if you exclude the author. Since then coldforged.org has seen 3 hosting changes, a switch from Movable Type to WordPress, countless design changes, and a vastly expanded readership in the lower to mid ones. As of right now there are 937 posts and 11036 comments posted here. The topics tend to range wildly, from gaming to politics, from baby talk to music and woodworking.
