From our base in Ayr, the practice carries out projects over a wide geographical area from the Orkneys and the Western Isles to Ireland. Our project experience covers the fields of housing, churches, commercial projects, private houses, community and arts buildings. We have developed particular expertise in specialist conservation works and design for historically sensitive environments. These projects have been successfully completed under various methods of procurement, from the project management of direct labour through to full design and build.
Our work has received wider recognition through numerous design and environmental awards presented over the years for our new build and conservation works. Regular success in design competitions adds to the practice portfolio.
ARP Lorimer & Associates is a multi-disciplinary office, with all the necessary dedicated personnel to provide Architectural, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying and Planning Supervisors Services and is one of the larger practices in the south west of Scotland. This range of disciplines ensures our projects are carried out in an efficient, considered manner through the design, cost control and construction.
The practice embraces technology both old and new to enable it to produce traditional hand drawn illustrations through to 3 dimensional virtual reality modelling.
Our systems enable quick and efficient communication to all those involved in the building process. Our experience of working in distant locations has given us the ability to work remotely from the office where we can connect via internet, e-mail and fax.
The office has a dedicated policy in respect of CPD to ensure the staff are aware of current issues and innovations within the construction industry.

ARP Lorimer & Associates are members of The Elite Ayrshire Business Circle, an association of some of the top companies in Ayrshire.
The purpose of the Circle is to publicise its members, and to celebrate and promote the rich diversity of industry, commerce and business services available within the county boundaries of Ayrshire in southwest Scotland.
Members include the Clydesdale Bank, Ayr Racecourse and the Western House Hotel, and member company activities include building and construction, estate agency and land management, legal services, insurance broking, brand management, website design and public relations consultancy.
