Local Union #83 of the Sheet Metal Workers' was chartered on December 1st, 1896. Local #83 represents over 400 highly skilled sheet metal workers covering fifteen counties in New York State. Those counties are: Albany, Columbia, Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Fulton, Greene, Hamilton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Warren, and Washington. In addition to this, we have access to at least 180,000 members who are affiliated with our International Association.
