Founded in 1913, Rhode Island Textile Co. has grown to be one of the largest and most diverse manufacturers of narrow fabrics in the United States. There are three manufacturing facilities in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, producing braided elastics, apparel drawcord, shoelaces, shock cords, barbed cord, tassels, window treatment products and Cluny lace. South Carolina Elastic was established in 1954 and also has three plants making woven, knitted and braided elastics.
