- The Pride and Remembrance Association (PRA) is a leading not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting Toronto's gay and lesbian community. In 1996 the PRA founded an annual 5K fundraising run/walk coinciding with Pride Week called the Pride and Remembrance Run. The original Pride and Remembrance Run was dedicated to partnering the themes of pride and remembrance with community celebration and personal achievement. By working closely with our sponsors, community groups and organizations, the Pride and Remembrance Run has raised approximately $400,000 for charitable organizations. The Pride and Remembrance Run has grown in popularity and profile every year. Now in its 12th year, it has become one of the most anticipated and exciting events of Pride Week. This premiere athletic event and communtiy fundraiser is the largest event of its kind in Canada, and among the most popular running events of the entire Greater Toronto Area.

PLEDGE VOLUNTEER RUN WALK OR CHEER
The PRIDE AND REMEMBRANCE RUN is a 5km fundraising run/walk organized and operated by the Pride and Remembrance Association in Toronto.
Each year the Pride and Remembrance Association selects community charities who receive 100% of the charitable pledges that are raised. The two beneficiaries for the 2007 PRIDE AND REMEMBRANCE RUN are the Toronto People With AIDS Foundation and the Triangle Program of the Toronto District School Board.
Participants raise much needed funds for community charitable organizations through personal pledges. The PRIDE AND REMEMBRANCE RUN attracts competitive athletes and spirited community members alike.
The PRIDE AND REMEMBRANCE RUN has grown in popularity and profile every year. Now in its 12th year, it has become one of the most anticipated and exciting events of Pride Week. This premier athletic event and community fundraiser is the largest event of its kind in Canada, and among the most popular running events of the entire Greater Toronto Area.
The START & FINISH of the Pride and Remembrance Run is at the intersection of Church & Wellesley.
The Pride and Remembrance Run starts at 10 AM on SATURDAY, JUNE 23rd, with a fun and fashionable warm-up. At the sound of the race pistol, 1000 runners head West on Wellesley towards Queen's Park, where they will circle twice before heading back to the FINISH and the after-party Beer Gardens.
