The NYS Affirmative Action Advisory Council was founded in 1978. The purpose of the Council is to serve as an advisory body to the President of the NYS Civil Service Commission on all existing and proposed policies, procedures, practices and programs relating to or affecting Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunities. The Council is a membership organization comprised of administrators from 67 NYS agencies.
