Manning Building Supplies was founded in Ocala, Florida, in 1979. Kirby Manning leased a warehouse in the Ocala Industrial Park and with only a few employees and a nucleus of faithful and supportive customers began to build a full service building materials supply business serving Marion County. Several years later Manning saw an opportunity to expand the business into the Jacksonville market.
