Sixty years ago, dedicated and visionary members of the Kiwanis Club of Hamilton East recognized the need for quality programs and recreation opportunities for children and youth and opened Hamilton's very first Boys and Girls Club in the northeast end of the city. Boys and Girls Clubs of Hamilton now draws more than 4,000 children and youth from across the city and operates in multiple locations to better meet the needs of families in diverse neighbourhoods.
