Dr. Popkin started the company in 1978, building on his experience in price measurement, analysis and forecasting. He has worked as an economist for over thirty-five years and has specialized in the price area for the last twenty. During that time he has worked at the Bureau of Labor Statistics as Assistant Commissioner for Prices, at the President�s Council of Economic Advisers, and at the National Bureau of Economic Research as director of its Washington office.
