TMZ.com

TMZ.com is referred to as a celebrity gossip or tabloid journal website. TMZ.com launched in 2005 and in 2007 a corresponding TV show "TMZ on TV" was launched, essentially the television equivalent to the site with entertainment and celebrity gossip and news.

TMZ has gained credibility thanks to its breaking coverage of Michael Jackson's death ahead other more mainstream and trusted news sources like CNN. (See section and links below).

TMZ is a product of AOL and Telepictures Productions (which are both owned by Time Warner).
