Welcome to Los Alamos National Laboratory. For more than 63 years, the Laboratory has served the nation by developing and applying the best science and technology to ensure its safety and security. We are now beginning a new chapter in the Laboratory's illustrious history, and I am extremely honored and proud to be a part of the new management team that will guide the Laboratory into its next phase.
Los Alamos National Security, LLC a team composed of four top U.S. organizations with extensive experience in nuclear defense programs—Bechtel National, University of California, BWX Technologies, and Washington Group International—is the new management and operating (M&O) contractor and is committed to the Laboratory's continued legacy of excellence.
Science at the highest level must thrive at Los Alamos. To thrive, it is all about people and providing an environment that enables unparalleled science through leadership, innovation, best business practices and a focus on safe and secure operations in order to attain a clear goal: Make Los Alamos the premier national security science laboratory for the 21st century.
