Hi! My name is Kalyani Ramaiyan. I have been hooked onto kolams from a very early age. I had the opportunity to watch and learn from my grandma and mom while growing up in India. I used to collect designs and patterns in a journal. After leaving India, it became too hard to keep up with the tradition.
I created iKolam.com in 2003. When I started the website, my whole plan was to create a simple website to share what I have learnt with my daughters. I did not expect the overwhelming response that I have received from all the visitors from all over the world!
