Title

The Bass Tab Archive

Description

The Bass Tab Archive was started in October of 1994. The purpose of the archive was to create a central repository for the large amounts of bass tablature scattered around the internet. The BTA has grown to be the largest collection of bass tab on the internet and was incorporated into the On-Line Guitar Archive in the Spring of 1997. The archive is now found on more than 20 mirror sites throughout the world.

The Bass Tab Archive has been mentioned in the Web Watch column of the January 1996 issue of Bass Player Magazine, as well as in several other bass related publications. The archive was named as one of 10 Cool Web Sites by Bass Player Magazine in their January 1999 10-year anniversary issue! As the archive has faced some legal trouble, there was also an article about the archive in the New York Times on the web.

I graduated from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio with a BS in Computer Engineering in 1999. I am now working in the Washington, DC area as a consultant at Acumen Solutions.
