The Maplewood represents a family tradition of caring, spanning three generations and over fifty years of exceptional service. Thomas and Johanna Chambery, my grandparents and founders of the Maplewood, first opened the facility in 1947 on Lake Avenue in the City of Rochester. In 1960, my mother and father took over the operation, serving respectively as the Director of Nursing Services and Administrator. We moved to our current facility in Webster in 1976. Today's Maplewood reflects our family's commitment to providing comfortable accommodations, attentive service and affordable quality care. This philosophy forms the solid foundation on which our operation is built. Much has changed since the early days on Lake Avenue, but the basics of how we provide service and how we treat people remain the same.
Everything about the Maplewood Nursing Home was designed with the comfort, safety and well-being of our residents in mind. It's a special place for rehabilitation, recuperation and long-term care. Our approach to providing care is holistic, designed to meet the total needs of our residents' medical, social, and emotional well being. We take great pride in providing personalized care to fit specific needs.
