Cascade Tek has been delivering high-quality product testing under environmental conditions since 1992.

Founder and President, Doug Barrett, has built more than a laboratory in Hillsboro, Oregon. Primarily, the lab serves clients by stressing their products in various ways to establish product reliability.

Two other divisions of Cascade TEK offer reconditioned testing equipment and laboratory ovens for sale. The facility is fully accredited by A2LA, DSCC, ISTA and others.

Services

Exposure Testing

Cascade Tek's testing facility includes exposure testing against:

Temperature extremes
Humidity tests
Shock
Altitude

These conditions are simulated to produce accelerated aging of products or packaging.

Temperature and Vibration testing

Temperature and vibration combinations can be tested for. These tests produce stresses with which to ascertain how well products will hold up under regular or unusual usage. Temperature and Vibration tests are carried out using:

Shakers
Slip tables
Acceleration chambers
Drop testers
Compressors and ovens

Combinations of these tests, such as thermal shock or vibration with shock are also employed. Small components, or large complete units can be tested.

Cascade owns a 1000G shock acceleration tower and a large acceleration chamber, making it one of the best-equipped labs in the business. Transportation simulation, and long-term temperature and humidity storage testing are also possible.

Detailed data is collected by the state-of-the-art equipment through multiple response channels. Formal test reports are prepared for clients, along with QA documentation.

In-House Testing

For those companies which need to do specific testing in house, Cascade TEK can be a source for quality, reconditioned equipment. Purchasing this way, rather than new, can often result in savings of up to 50%. These machines are guaranteed to be at 100% factory specification quality or set to custom specifications. Cascade TEK is an authorized service provider for many original equipment manufacturers. Most of the equipment which is reconditioned comes from Cascade’s own laboratory so the history and maintenance schedule of the machines are known. Purchasing of refurbished machines is not the only option; renting and leasing are also possible.

Ovens

Cascade TEK also offers forced air and vacuum ovens for sale. Forced air ovens may be used for drying, curing, burn-in or testing. They come in a range of sizes from 1 - 28 cubic feet, with temperatures of 230-300 degrees centigrade. Ovens are programmable and customization may be requested. Vacuum ovens for drying or bake-out come in sizes from 0.5 to 9 cubic feet, the largest in the industry. They have access for introduction of inert gases, and a temperature range of 230-300 degrees centigrade. They have been tested to under 10 microns at 150 degrees C. Vacuum ovens are also programmable and customizable. Ovens are kept in stock, ready to ship, and have a 100%, one-year warranty.
