Because no other single resource is as powerful as the one that can tap into the knowledge of every visitor, AboutUs stands front and center as one of the most valuable information resources on the web.

AboutUs warmly welcomes the community to join us in that effort!
Finding information - If you'd like to see what we have on a given website domain or share your knowledge of that website domain, then simply search for the website domain name in the Find! box.
Sharing your knowledge - We depend on people like yourself to update and improve the site. Please feel free to use the many 'edit' buttons to do anything from fixing a spelling error to adding a paragraph of text or uploading a picture. There are some help topics here and we would be honored to have your participation in any constructive capacity.

Our Commitment
We encourage all to log in and edit the AboutUs wiki. This is how AboutUs can tap into the knowledge of those who choose to contribute. In order to protect the integrity of the resource and to engage with the editors, AboutUs is committed to reviewing every edit made to its more than 10 million pages. In late January 2007 the edits per day broke the 1000 mark. In early April 2007, there were over 3000 edits per day.
Our Vision
The vision of AboutUs hinges on the power of collaboration and the unique capacity of wiki technology to capture the coming together of communities.
The AboutUs MissionStatement is: To promote Wiki in a way that rekindles the spirit of worldwide collaboration and unleashes people's full potential to build things worth building. AboutUs provides the venue, tools and infrastructure to support the community's vision.
Our Technology

—Sai Thota, |
- The site was pre-populated with information about many different websites and thousands of updates are being made by people each day.
- The thumbnail images on the records are provided by Name Intelligence's proprietary thumbnail service and provide a link to the referred to site.
- Our CamelCaseing of domain names is a technology made by Name Intelligence and is used on AboutUs to help make domain names more readable. If you notice that the CamelCasing is wrong, you can correct it.
- The map in the "Website Information" box is from Google Maps' service.
- Our logo symbolizes the emergence of community of collaboration that we feel comes from AboutUs. See AboutUsLogo for more.
- We developed Influence Us as a way for people to leave constructive feedback for businesses and organizations.
Our Policies
AboutUs works to create policies & guidelines that provide a clear explanation of not only the legal aspects of creating a resource based on the information commons, but also on the values that help promote the WikiWay. Check out the AboutUs Guidelines Portal for more information, links below:

NickBurrus's Comments on AboutUs.org
- NickBurrus (delighted) : Six months...wow. Time flies; I have evolved from trying to figure out what the heck was the edit button or how to make italics in wiki code into a wiki expert with ever going projects. I plan on staying; and wish to say thanks to all those folks at AboutUs!
- I rarely support a commercial company, but the philosophy of this company is to die for. Wonderful community, fun times on IRC and via wiki; conference calls that actually MAKE SENSE and is not a turn around table dodging the question. These folks get the work done.
- This is amazing; and I respect this. Thanks! 23:39, 20 May 2008 (PDT)
Abu Ari's Comments on AboutUs.org
- Abu Ari (frustrated) : I'd like a way to add geotags to an aboutus page, to make is show up in pages like http://geourl.org/near/?p=http://www.hsjonleik.fo/. . I'm not sure if grabbing the data from e.g. http://hsjonleik.fo/index.htm is useful, but pointing at a map or typing corrdinates certainly would be. 02:37, 13 June 2008 (PDT)
