Description
Sportsman Steel Safes was started by Fred Hand, an AAA skeet shooter and sportsman enthusiast in 1979. His mission was to build the best gun safe company in the United States. Hand revolutionized the industry by designing gun safes with one-quarter inch steel bodies with massive one-half inch thick doors. In 1991, Hand's son Kevin made significant strides for the business as well. He introduced the 2300 Degree Ceramic fire system along with the Crown Series. This series is the highest grade gun safe ever built. Kevin continues to work with his father in addition to running his own business, Pentagon Safes.
