Title

Rocky Mountain horses, Tennessee Walking and Kentucky Mountain Saddle horses

Description

Kenridge Farm was established in 1998 by Carolyn Kenton to promote all the fun things a person could do with a gaited horse. In October 2003, Jamie Lee Derickson of Hands On Horses joined the farm, bringing her skills at training in-hand weanlings and yearlings for the show ring.

Hands on Horses is the name Jamie Lee trains under. In the 2003 show season, she led the champion yearling filly at the United Mountain Horse (UMH) World Show and the Rocky Mountain International Show with Signature Stables Stylin' and Profilin'. That same year she led the high point Tennessee Walking horse Kentucky Owners Stallion Association yearling filly, The Pusher's Ecstacy and also led Clutch's Blue Knight to the Kentucky TWHBEA reserve high point Open Yearling award. In 2004 she will repeat the high point yearling Tennessee filly award with Prescription for Blue, who at one point in the season had won 8 straight blue ribbons. Her skills are not limited to in-hand presentations, however, at the 2004 UMH World Show the barn competed 10 horses and brought home a total of 19 ribbons in four divisions of the show – in-hand, Country Trail Pleasure, Trail Pleasure and Classic Pleasure.

Kenridge Farm actively participates in the United Mountain Horse (UMH) horse show circuit, the Rocky Mountain Horse Association (RMHA) International Show and the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders and Exhibitors Association (TWHBEA) show circuit.
