eNTiDi software

eNTiDi software is a one-person enterprise specialized in development of open source software for the industry sector and dynamic web applications based on SilverStripe. The products span from C-based DAQ systems to Lua scripts, from numeric control programs to ad-hoc PHP based application. They are always related in some way to the industrial sector.

Technology

The applications are developed upon some of the most well known projects in the open source world, including GTK+, GStreamer, PHP and cairo. Also other less known projects, such as GOffice, libgda, Comedi or libmodbus, are used whenever needed.

Software released by the eNTiDi is covered by the GPL2 license or any later version, so the clients are allowed to see, modify and even redistribute it.

Website structure

eNTiDi.com is the english version of eNTiDi.it. The institutional site is hosted in the canonical http://www.entidi.com/ address but a fistful of third level domains provides much more content. They are mainly used for hosting the open source projects supported by eNTiDi and a common bug tracker. Some of those domains are listed in the Products section.

Some project is now obsolete but its website is kept alive for future reference. The following list includes the main ones:

  • TiP (The I Preprocessor), a general purpose framework for quickly build a web site in a typical PHP/MySQL environment.
  • gtk2panel, a (once upon the time) bleeding edge panel heavily based on the GTK+2 stack... a useful alternative for embedded systems and dedicated machines;

Products

eNTiDi is an active contributor to some open source project. In the following, the list of the major ones:

  • Silverstripe modules that brings into the SilverStripe ecosystem some commonly used feature such as carousel and gallery pages, an automatic table of content generator and a feed (ATOM) reader;
  • Silverstripe themes, above all SilverStrap, a theme based on the Bootstrap front end framework;
  • ADG library (Automatic Drawing Generation), a GObject-based library that provides a non-interactive cairo canvas specifically designed for generating technical drawings;
  • NtdIsp, a software programmer that uses the in-chip programming protocol of NXP LPC (Philips) ans STM32 based chipsets.

The full list of supported project can be found in the public bug tracker: every project hosted has its own public tracker.

Other than that, some sporadic contribution, mainly inside the GTK+ and SilverStripe world, can be found on the wild.
