In 2006, CBT Carpet Recycling recognized that landfill space is at a premium – and no one wants to expand landfills. As part of their sister company business at the Port of Cincinnati, CBT was forced to handle supersacks: huge bags of materials containing a variety of materials similar in composition to carpet fiber. CBT Carpet Recycling looked at ways in which they could seek viable, alternative means of recycling this material.
