The Breconshire Brewery was founded in 2002 as part of C.H.Marlow, a wholesaler and distributor of ales in the south Wales area for over 30 years. The ten barrel plant (sourced from the defunct Pembrokeshire Brewery), was put together and commissioned just in time for Christmas, 2002. To create the "Ales from the Heart of Wales" range, Optic malts are blended with a range of UK grown whole hops.
