Welcome to our cattery on the internet! We are located in St. Louis, MO. Zhao Persians began in the summer of 2000 with the arrival of an adorable calico kitten from Bolo Cattery. A few weeks after Melody's arrival, off we went with her to our first cat show, not far from our home. After finaling in four out of six rings including receiving a "Best Kitten" award from Leslie Faltesiek--we were hooked!
We specialize in mainly bicolors, but a small, selective solid group will also be included. The focus of our breeding program is to produce top quality kittens fitting the CFA Persian Standard for show. Prepotent and award winning pedigree lines whose looks we like have been combined in order to develop what will be the future "Zhao" look. The Zhao look emphasizes extreme type with a uniquely refined, melt-your-heart expressions. Some of our foundation lines include Artemis, Harwood, Couronne, and Ocalicos. If you are interested in a kitten from us, whether for show or for pet, please introduce yourself and we will gladly email you more availability details. Kittens offered as pets are spayed and neutered before leaving our home. For show kittens, we do require a signed contract. Occasionally, we will also have young adults available for adoption to loving homes with cost of spay and neuter. Email us for current details.
