For over 20 years, Yummy Designs has developed and marketed innovative and fun nutrition education materials, designed to make learning about nutrition fun and appealing to children and adults. Yummy Designs materials have included activity books, flip books, games, card decks, puppets and puppet show scripts, and large fruit & vegetable balloons.
Since 1983, Laurie has written and designed over 100 nutrition books, games, puppets, and other teaching materials that make nutrition fun for children and adults. Laurie writes and develops all Yummy Designs materials herself, so you can be confident that they are professionally sound.
Laurie earned a Masters Degree in Public Health Nutrition from Loma Linda University (CA). She has worked on several nutrition education projects and served as a Nutritionist with the Peace Corps in Morocco, North Africa. Laurie also has a Masters Degree in Education from Indiana University. She has been a Registered Dietitian (R.D.) with The American Dietetic Association since 1976.
