On November 14th, 2006 Blizzard Entertainment released a ban wave that banned hundreds maby even thosaunds of gliders worldwide. Mercury, the creator and his close glider buddies did not get banned. Most people blamed Mercury and said he sold us out. He than told us "I did not sell out to Blizzard. Cripes, guys. They could buy me into shutting the product down, but it'd take way too much money for me to turn over customer info. I wouldn't be able to sleep after pulling that kind of shit move." Most peopple diden't belive it, and even went so far of saying that he did by looking up year old lawsuit case from MDY Industries v. Blizzard Entertainment. MDY Industries, the company Mercury works for, they say it was the day after the latest patch on October 25th 2006. And when Mercury previously stated when he belives Glider started to be detected. As of now, there are still hundreds of people getting banned, and hundreds of questions not being answerd.
