Located in the BETHESDA business district of Montgomery County, Maryland, WOOL&KNOTS is highly regarded for offering an award winning collection of fine woven rugs ranging from contemporary to transitional designs. The founder of the company, Ali (second generation), comes from a family that knows the Persian rug business intimately. His father Gholam opened the highly respected Pars rug store in Abadan, in southern Iran in 1960. Ali learned the business first-hand from his father and now offers his valuable expertise to his clients at Wool and Knots.

After only two years of operation, Wool and Knots was nominated as the national retailer of the year (ROY AWARD) in 2005.Thanks to those who see and appreciate the difference of our rug selection. Our mission is to provide our clients with the most recent designer collection of rugs available in the market today with competitive pricing and the best possible customer service.
