Woodseats Advice Centre
Description
We offer a drop-in service and telephone advice for people within postal areas S8 and S17. For specialist advice or for some lengthy interviews an appointment can be made. We also arrange home visits for the housebound (older people or people with disabilities) within our area. We regret that we are unable to offer an email advice service.
There are outreach sessions at Lowedges and Jordanthorpe twice a week and Totley once a week. Our Families Outreach Worker works specifically with families on Lowedges, providing home visits where necessary.
In addition to our generalist advice sessions we hold weekly outreach sessions at the Haematology and Oncology Department of Sheffield Children's Hospital and twice weekly outreach sessions at the Cancer Information & Support Centre at Weston Park, giving welfare benefits advice to families and carers of patients receiving care in the departments.
