Title

Wood Hollow - Replacement Legs, Bedposts, Spindles

Description

High up in the Appalachian Mountains, where the Rhododendron grows so thick that you might never find your way out, where the spring water still splashes out cold and clear, and the poplar and hemlock trees grow straight and tall, there is a hollow in the woods, caressed by the sun and kissed by the mountain mists, where we still turn wood the old fashioned way...

We cut the trees, mill them, air dry the lumber, and then kiln dry it. Or we buy it from one of the local suppliers. Or, you can supply the wood so it will match what you are building.

All of our lathes, as well as our methods, have withstood the test of time. The main workhorse is an Oliver 159A. The Faye and Egan is used for longer columns and posts.
