WMTI is dedicated to helping you achieve your goals by providing the highest quality education in alternative/complimentary healthcare fields. To achieve this mission, WMTI has designed an effective learning environment by employing experienced and dedicated faculty, using the finest instructional materials and equipment available, and carefully planning each individual's learning experiences.
Philosophy
People are empowered when they are given the information they need to make educated choices about matters that affect their lives. At WMTI, we strive to empower our students by giving them the education they need to make informed decisions about their career path. We instill the skills of critical thinking and inductive and deductive reasoning so that our graduates may think on their feet and make the best choices when dealing with their clients' health issues. We feel that in order to deal effectively with wellness and health issues, the bodywork professional must be aware of her/his own wellness. Our well-rounded programs of study are designed to encourage and promote this awareness. Nothing of quality and lasting value is achieved without hard work and dedication; thus, we challenge our students to apply themselves to their studies. We encourage our students to spread out their training over time to allow for integration of the material and to avoid burnout and stress. Our courses have been crafted with care. We offer no shortcuts to receiving the comprehensive training and preparation your new career demands. Developing the skill and confidence of an experienced bodywork professional requires many hours of hands-on practice. Our programs provide this training.
Vision: The Alternative Therapy University
When WMTI was conceived in 1989, our vision was to create a professional environment that provided state of the art massage therapy training. In the years since its' inception, WMTI has achieved this vision by developing a reputation for graduating outstanding massage therapists and offering high quality educational programs. The school is known locally, regionally and nationally as a premier learning center. The school's management has kept WMTI on the cutting edge by keeping in touch with trends in the massage and bodywork industry.
