Description
The Washington Movers Conference (WMC), an affiliate of the Washington Trucking Associations, is the statewide not-for-profit trade association for moving and storage companies permitted to do business in Washington State.
For your protection, it's important to remember that anyone providing local or intrastate moving services in Washington must be permitted with the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission. No exceptions! This helps to ensure that the company with which you may choose to do business maintains adequate levels of insurance and accountability. Allowing an illegal mover to move your household goods is a risk, and may limit your recourse should something go wrong. We are happy to help you determine whether the Washington domiciled mover of your choice is legally permitted.
As a condition of WMC membership, each mover member agrees to abide by a code of conduct promising to provide Washington moving consumers honest, legal, and efficient service. Trained personnel, operating clean and safe equipment, are standard WMC member service characteristics.
