Our mission is to provide the area with diverse news, information, music and cultural programs of the highest quality available on radio. The station is committed to programming that entertains, educates and informs in a lively, provocative, varied and sensitive way. WFCR's service seeks to help individuals explore and enjoy the world around them, as well as enhance the quality of their lives. The WFCR staff is charged with carrying out this mission.
As part of a national public radio system , WFCR offers programs from such highly respected networks as National Public Radio and Public Radio International. WFCR is one of over 500 member stations in the country that provide in-depth news coverage you can only find on programs such as All Things Considered, and Morning Edition, and which bring you such uniquely entertaining programs as A Prairie Home Companion and Car Talk. Our locally produced music programming is as varied as the classical Morning Music, the rhythms and swing of Jazz à la Mode and Jazz Safari, the variety of songwriting and tunes found on Valley Folk, and the special flavor of the Spanish-language program ¡Tertulia!. You can listen online.
