Frequently Asked Questions
Why is image licensing important? Creative content is protected by international copyright law. Therefore, the rights of the image owner, as well as the rights of the models and properties appearing in the images are protected. Whenever buying an image image from our website, you actually buy a license to use the image, and this license describes how the image can or cannot be used.
What does “Royalty Free” mean? The term “royalty-free” does not mean that the images are free of charge. The word “free” in this context means that the buyer does not need to pay royalties each time he uses an image. In simple words, after paying a one-time fee, the buyer is allowed to use the image multiple times with no time limit.
What is a Comp image and how can I use it? A common mistake is to think that the word comp in this context means complimentary. A comp image is an image that can be used for comprehensive layout or composition layout purposes. Our comp images are watermarked and you can download them for free. Comp images cannot be used in your final product.
I need to print an image. Which file size should I buy? In order to determine the print size of a 300-dpi image we will need to look at the file size. As a general statement we can say that:
- 10–15 MB file - (A5) 8.2" x 5.9" or 21cm x 15cm at 300dpi (approximately)
- 24–30 MB file - (A4) 12.2" x 7.8" or 31cm x 20cm at 300dpi (approximately)
- 50–75 MB file - (A3) 16.1" x 11.8" or 41cm x 30cm at 300dpi (approximately)
What payment methods can I use? Payments can be made using most major credit cards or using a PayPal account.
Do I need to have a PayPal account in order to complete a purchase? No. You do not need to have a PayPal account to make a purchase. If you would like to make a payment using a credit card, simply select the “Pay with a debit or credit card” option on the PayPal screen.
