Description
Mission - WAVAW is a feminist organization that works for the prevention and eradication of all forms of violence against women through the provision of direct services to women who have experienced violence and the promotion of social and attitudinal change.
Vision - A society where all women are free from violence. WAVAW strives to be representative of women from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences. Our volunteer board of directors is completely comprised of women and our team of staff and volunteers include women from many different educational, socio-economic, religious and cultural backgrounds. We represent diverse ethnic groups and different levels of physical ability and we are able to deliver many of our services in multiple languages.
We are committed to quality service delivery and competency. The Women Against Violence Against Women Rape Crisis Centre was founded in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in 1982. We are a group of women working in the interests of women who have been victimized by sexual violence.
