About WATL
The Women's Australian Travel League Inc. (WATL) is a professional travel and tourism industry organization. The main objectives are to provide business, educational and social networking opportunities for members and their guests. Similar WATL clubs operate independently in Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
The club was founded in Sydney in 1954. WATL is a non-profit organization, which supports the work and ideals of a number of other organizations, such as the International Institute of Peace through Tourism, ECPAT, the Exodus Foundation and the Clean Up the World campaign. Since 1971, WATL Sydney has raised funds for its main charity, the Infants' Home at Ashfield.
